John Geiger Contributes Essay to Disinformation's Book of Lies

Disinformation's Richard Metzger gathers an unprecedented cabal of forward thinkers in Book of Lies. Whereas past Disinformation volumes like You Are Being Lied To, Everything You Know is Wrong and Abuse Your Illusions focused on secrets and lies from the mainstream media, government and other establishment institutions to rethink what a political science book could look like, Book of Lies packages and presents a huge array of magical essays for a pop culture audience.

John Geiger contributes "Who is there William Burroughs" on the harrowing psychic explorations of William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin. The book also includes Daniel Pinchbeck's psychedelic and magical experiences recounted in an extended excerpt from Breaking Open the Head, Genesis P-Orridge writes about his personal memories of his magical education under William Burroughs and Brion Gysin and also contributes an essay on British occult artist Austin Osman Spare, and Robert Anton Wilson writes on the similarities between Aleister Crowley and Timothy Leary.

The Book of Lies is edited by Richard Metzger, the co-founder of The Disinformation Company Ltd. Metzger was the host of the UK television series "Disinformation" which was bought -but never aired-by the Sci-Fi Channel. His first book was Disinformation: The Interviews, a companion book to the "Disinformation" series on DVD. He lives in Los Angeles.
